El Ratón Pérez is a dark twist on the classic Latin-American folktale of El Ratoncito Pérez, in which a monstrous tooth-obsessed rat visits a young girl in her sleep.
From March 2024 to December 2024, Kickout Studios, a team of student filmmakers at California College of the Arts, created this film. El Ratón Pérez was co-directed by Camila Montero and Leo Pickard, written by Camila Montero, with assistance from Millicent Villacastin, Angela Zamora, and Alex (Stephanie) Raigoza.
